Privacy Policy
PicSlide is a picture sliding-tile puzzle game. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific — we only collect what the game needs to work.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details (optional) — the game is fully playable without an account. If you choose to sign in, we receive your email address and, with Google sign-in, the display name and profile photo associated with your Google account.
- Player names — the names you give local players. The active player's name appears next to your scores on the public leaderboards.
- Your photos — pictures you import to play as puzzles are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and deleting a photo puzzle removes our copy from the device.
Information collected automatically
- Game progress — solves, best times, stars, streaks and achievements. It stays on your device unless you sign in, in which case it is also stored in your private cloud save so you can restore it on another device.
- Leaderboard entries — when you solve the daily puzzle, your player name, solve time and move count are published to the daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards under a pseudonymous player id.
- Advertising data — the game shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and coarse device information to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example the EEA and UK), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
- Analytics and crash data — we use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. This includes device model, OS version and in-game events; it is not used to identify you personally.
How we use information
- To run the game: puzzles, streaks, achievements and leaderboards.
- To back up and restore your progress when you sign in.
- To show and measure ads, which keep the game free.
- To fix bugs and improve the game.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Information is shared only with the service providers that power the app — Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting) and Google AdMob (advertising) — under their own privacy commitments, and where the law requires it. Your player name, solve times and move counts on leaderboards are visible to other players.
Data retention and deletion
Local progress lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or use "Reset progress" in Settings. If you created an account, you can delete it and its cloud save at any time from inside the app (Profile → delete account) — see the account deletion page for exact steps. You can also email us and we will delete your data.
Children
PicSlide is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit, and cloud saves and leaderboard writes are protected by server-side security rules so only you can access your own save.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
